About Us

Moore Engineered Solutions first opened its doors in 2023, and from browsing the website, you might have seen that we do a bit more than engineering. Believe it or not, the company name isn’t a play on words. When Nick started the company, he combined his background in Firefighting, Code Compliance, Safety, and Engineering. Where he quickly realized the overlap several projects had with many IT programs industries used, hence our IT management services.

This realization quickly transitioned MES into a company that helps companies monitor all aspects of a comprehensive environmental, health, and safety program, along with the added benefit of changing the internal IT systems with the engineers who are actively in the field with clients to understand how their program operates. This collaboration between engineering and IT happens seamlessly, which we attribute to our small company size and narrowed scope of service, but it also helps that the owner and head of IT are father and son, which you can read more about below.

Our basic principles are true for every project we work on: deliver our client a quality project that doesn’t need any additional follow-up months or years later for changes, work within budgetary and time constraints, and never produce more work from our own projects. We value working with all our clients, and working with them to produce a quality project is our goal every day. If you haven’t already, meet the team, drop us a message, browse the website, and connect with us on how we can help with any of your projects.

Nicholas Moore

Owner & Engineering

Read about Nicholas

More commonly known as Nick, he has a story not commonly heard anymore, so in his own words, “I’ll share the cliff notes”. From a young age of 12, Nick would spend his summers working 40-60-hour workweeks landscaping, but would spend time after work asking questions about the business and how it was run. While his early dream was to run his own landscaping firm, that quickly changed when he had his first encounter with engineering. This happened when completing his Eagle Scout project, a 40-foot wooden bridge capable of holding 10 tons- a project still standing today.

Some would think that because of that, he would’ve pursued engineering, such as Mechanical or Civil; however, he holds degrees from The University of Akron in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics, along with degrees from Cuyahoga Community College in Fire Science and Paramedic Technology.

Many people ask about the fire science and paramedic technology degrees, and, best put, from Nick, they were the groundwork for his career. If we go back up to when Nick was working landscaping over the summers, you could also catch him taking college summer classes in firefighting, emergency technology, paramedic, and several others. This allowed Nick to work and still work as a firefighter to this day. On top of that, he branched out to become a state-certified fire inspector, bulk underground storage inspector, and an NFPA Certified Fire Inspector, where his passion for code compliance and regulations began.

Nick found himself working to figure out how to bridge the gap with the years of experience in code enforcement, compliance, and now a newfound passion for industrial process- the clear answer was to work for himself. His knack for safety, being meticulous and detail-oriented, and being a subject matter expert for fire safety, code compliance, and understanding complex processes, yielded Moore Engineered Solutions.

Since opening the company in 2023, Nick has been working with clients from all parts of the United States, along with several clients in Europe. Operating as a remote work firm allows him to have employees around the country to better serve clients in varying industries and locations. His open approach to working with clients on complicated projects and producing a completed project that is clear and concise is what he enjoys the most. As you may have read before, Nick does work with his dad, Robert, or better known as Bob. The two collaborate on projects where engineering meets IT to help make systems operate more efficiently, and if you ask Nick, it’s one of his favorite parts of work.

When you don’t see Nick at one of our clients’ facilities, making sure a project is on track, or just stopping by to say hello, you can usually find him at an orchestra concert, on a hike, traveling around the world, or most recently, training for the 14, 8000m summits around the world.
