About The Role: The ideal candidate for the Engineering Consultant role possesses a strong background in process engineering and or environmental engineering. This position will be working mainly with clients in the regulatory compliance space of industry. We’re also looking for someone who can work independently on projects, has a strong attention to detail, and a creative mind.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist clients in regulatory compliance with EPA, OSHA, FDA, NTSB etc., and relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform external client audits of programs, both virtually and or on-site, and produce findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Perform on-site client inspections of facilities within the United States and Western Europe.
  • Monitor changes in environmental regulations and communicate with clients accordingly with relevant changes that affect day to day operations.
  • Develop and deliver training for clients on environmental impacts, policies, and best practices for compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting are in place for regulatory agencies.

Our Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Corrosion, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Petroleum, Polymer) or a related field.

Work Experience: 3-5 years experience as a Process, Manufacturing, Environmental or Compliance engineer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn new systems, equipment, and skills.
  • Experience with classifying chemicals and or waste products.
  • Experience in the industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or energy sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Experience conducting audits, preparing reports, and managing environmental permits.
  • Comfortable conducting large-scale meetings with clients.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess environmental risks and find effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and with regulatory agencies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in environmental management software and reporting tools.
  • Leadership skills to guide compliance efforts and lead sustainability initiatives.
  • Proficient in computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.

Work Conditions: Remote office and on-site field work

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 50 lbs. (Rare)
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions is necessary for project(s).
  • Ability to walk for periods of time, including maneuvering up and down stairs, ladders, and terrain, and performing project-specific tasks.

Travel Requirements: (30-40%) Flexible travel schedule with rotating call schedule in the engineering department.

Salary: $95,000 – $132,000 (with cost-of-living adjustment, dependent on location)
